Rachel Migliorino

Rachel Migliorino is a professional artist living and creating in the picturesque coastal town of Beaufort, South Carolina. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, Rachel is known for her captivating depictions of birds, animals, and serene landscapes that reflect the beauty of the Lowcountry. Her art draws inspiration from the natural world, bringing to life vibrant herons and pelicans, peaceful tree-lined paths, and expansive skies. Whether painting wildlife or portraits, her work is characterized by a sense of connection, warmth, and tranquility.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Rachel relocated to Beaufort with her husband of over 22 years and their three children to embrace a slower, more intentional lifestyle close to nature. Her lifelong love of art began with drawing and painting as a young girl and later led her to earn an Associate of Arts in Fine Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While her passion for painting remained ever-present, a unique creative journey unfolded when her oldest child developed severe food allergies. This challenge inspired Rachel to channel her artistic talents into designing beautiful, allergy-friendly cakes. In 2012, she launched Frosted Artistry, a thriving custom cake business blending edible art with personal expression.

Despite the success of her cake-decorating venture, Rachel never stopped yearning to paint. After moving to Beaufort, the natural beauty surrounding her reignited her love for fine art. Today, she dedicates her time to creating paintings that capture the spirit and soul of her subjects, sharing her vision of peace, joy, and the wonder of the natural world.

Rachel’s work is displayed in her studio at Atelier and at the Beaufort Art Association Gallery. Through her paintings, she hopes to evoke the same sense of delight and connection that she feels while creating each piece.
